FURIA and AVANGAR have been invited to compete at the EMF CS:GO World Invitational, a winner-takes-all clash with $64,000 on the line.
The best-of-five showdown will be played on July 26 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and is one of the four tournaments that will be held as part the e-Sports & Music Festival Hong Kong 2019, one of the star exhibits of the 21st edition of Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACG HK).
The invitation adds to an already packed schedule for FURIA, who are currently ranked eighth in the world. The Brazilian team will also attend the ESEA MDL NA Finals and the ESEA Season 31 Global Challenge, this weekend, and the Americas Minor before the player break.
AVANGAR, the current No.21 team in the world, will use this match as preparation for BLAST Pro Series Moscow CIS closed qualifier, from August 10-11, and for the StarLadder Major, kicking off on August 23. This will be the Kazakhstani side's first LAN since signing Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev, who replaced Bektiyar "fitch" Bahytov in the starting line-up.
The two teams recently faced each other in the grand final of DreamHack Open Rio, with the CIS giants running out 2-1 victors to collect a cheque for $50,000.
